The Vidalia Woman’s Club cookbook committee spent countless hours researching available resources in an effort to find every Vidalia® Onion Festival Cook-off award winning recipe from 1978-2009 and the names of the cooks who submitted them.  We regret that in a few instances we were unable to locate recipes and/or the name of the winning contestants.

We are pleased to include the top 10 winners of the first Very Vidalia® National Recipe Contest, 2007, sponsored by our own Vidalia® Onion Committee.

• Each recipe section is arranged in descending order of years beginning with the National winners of 2007 and ending with the 1978 winners.
• These are followed by additional cook-off recipes submitted in each year’s competition.
• The Vidalia Woman’s Club recipes conclude each section.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this cookbook will be donated to support our local United Way and other area charities.
